Barbara's cartoon pictured above is part of The IX International Biennial of Women's Humour
"Every woman is an island" in Ferrara - Italy. The show continued from the September 20 to
the October 12, 2003 at the Museo dell'Illustrazione.
The show featured the work of 29 international artists, 5 of whom are American. The other Americans
are strip artists Allison Bechdel (Dykes to Watch Out For) and Nicole Hollander (Sylvia), along with
Pulitzer Prize winning editorial cartoonists Ann Telnaes and Signe Wilkinson.
